In this interactive Round Table we will address and discuss the often-challenging, frequently sensitive discussions and decisions around driving with PD. Topics may include: * Impairment signs to look for * Initiating the conversations * Resources to consult * Options after you “park the car”*, and more. If you don’t think you or your partner are planning to “park the car” just yet, please join us so you’re ready when that time comes.

Melanie Henry is the CEO of Driver Cognitive Assessment Center, LLC (DCAC). Melanie was employed for several years as a private caregiver, and it was during this time that she found her other passion: helping seniors. Melanie went on to manage a volunteer driver senior medical ride program with a local non-profit. It was there that she saw the challenges faced by so many older drivers. She began her research and realized the Bay Area needed this driving assessment technology. Melanie is a licensed driving instructor and helps seniors to build on their defensive driving skills and regain confidence behind the wheel.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Welfare Studies from Western Sydney University in Australia and is currently participating in ongoing training in the Driver Rehabilitation Professional field.
