Date: Tuesday, July 11
Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm
Our community panelists will share with us their experiences — good and bad — along their journey to build a Parkinson’s care team. They will cover both Kaiser experiences as well as non-Kaiser. Not sure who should be on your “team”? Who should be your team’s “quarterback”? What questions should you be asking your GP about all of this? Find out here!
Panelists:
Kathe Friel (PwP) & her husband, Dan
Kerrie Halmi (PwP) & her husband, Mark

Kathe Friel – Building a Team outside Kaiser
Kathe was diagnosed with PD 6 years ago at the age of 57 and began building her care team on day one when she shared her diagnosis with her husband Dan and their adult kids (ages 30 and 26) — all three of them are the core of her team, providing ongoing emotional and physical support as needed.
Kerrie Halmi – Building a team in Kaiser
Kerrie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in January 2019 at the age of 51. Kerrie is fortunate to have a very supportive family: Mark, and two daughters ages 19, and 20, along with a supportive church and circle of friends.
She considers PD Active a big part of her support team.
