Vickie Russell-Bell

Vickie Russell Bell (ERYT-500, C-IAYT) is a seasoned yoga teacher and yoga therapist with 30 years of experience. She specializes in accessible movement, restorative yoga, and the nervous system, creating a welcoming space for students to explore, learn, and befriend their bodies.

Since 2008, Vickie has taught yoga for people with Parkinson’s through PD Active, fostering a dedicated community. Many of her students have been with her since the program began, a testament to her compassionate and engaging approach.

Vickie’s teaching blends precision with creativity, weaving in poetry and philosophy to make yoga meaningful beyond the mat. Whether you’re new or experienced, she invites you to join her classes, where healing, exploration, and connection take center stage.

Otto Dittmer

Otto has been studying the wonders of the human body, mind, and spirit since 2000 with his first introduction to Yoga in his freshman year of college. Searching for more, he visited Ananda Village in Northern California and studied for an intensive week, which fostered his ever-deepening curiosity for the potential of the human experience. Following this, he chose to deepen his studies at Naropa University in Boulder, Co where he would major in both Yoga and Tai Chi, and spend 5 years studying interdisciplinary approaches to fitness, wellness, movement, meditation, philosophy, psychology, therapeutic techniques, dance and more. He is currently engaged in an ongoing deepening pursuit of Taoist Studies, the underlying philosophy of Chinese Medicine, Qigong and Tai Chi, Feng Shui and more, and his work is a blend and fusion of Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, Martial Arts, Meditation and Mindfulness, Dance, Joint
Mobilization and Intuitive Movement along with more Traditional Western Fitness understanding of Cardiovascular and Strength Training into a cohesive training cultivating poise, agility, balance, power and strength, while avoiding injury and pain in preparation for longevity and maintaining function for the enjoyment of life.

Lauren Carley

Lauren Carley, interdisciplinary artist: singer, voice and performance coach, choral director, retreat leader and writer has led community choirs in the bay area for seventeen years. Ms. Carley holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Music, Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York University and has extensive experience in Estill Voice training, Orff, improvisation, dance, and mime and Interplay.

Lauren has led the Tremolos Parkinson’s singing group since 2010 sharing Parkinson’s-related voice techniques for increasing the “melody,” range and volume in the speaking and singing voice. Breathing, intercostal movement, articulation and sustained intentional sound are her three-legged stool for intentional Parkinson’s Voice.

Lauren is a lifetime professional soloist and choral singer specializing in premiering works of composers such as John Cage, Messiaen, and Philip Glass. He has collaborated with artists such as Merce Cunningham and Pauline Oliveros. She wrote and toured numerous original one-woman shows featuring the composer Kurt Weill.

Carley has conducted choirs, taught choral music classes for children from 8 – 16 in public and charter schools and conservatories, is assistant conductor for the San Francisco-based Russian chorus, Slavyanka, and is vocal instructor for UC Berkeley’s Osher Lifelong Learning instructor of Joy of Singing.

Andreina Febres

Andreina Febres has been teaching Zumba since 2009 and completed her 200 hour Yoga Training in 2019. Andreina is originally from Caracas Venezuela and has lived in the Bay Area since 1999. She is the co-owner of Making Waves Studios and is the co-founder of Dancing Saved My Life, a non-profit organization that supports women with cancer.

Petra Fibrichova

Petra is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Personal Trainer, and she specializes in working with seniors and people affected by Parkinson’s disease. She loves to combine her knowledge of therapeutic yoga, strength training, and Parkinson’s specific movement therapies such as PWR!Moves, to create fun and challenging classes that help people with PD push against their symptoms and feel empowered. Petra teaches group classes and private sessions in the East Bay and works closely with two wonderful PD non-profits – PD Active and Parkinson’s Network of Mt. Diablo. In her free time she loves to travel with her family, hike with her dog Olivia, and challenge herself on the mat or in the gym.
